Part 1: The Musical Illusion (a gigantic illustrated hopscotch, floor mural sticker) commissioned by The LavaProject, National Arts Council) at East Coast Park

THE MUSICAL ILLUSION - is inspired by the artists' fond memories of childhood, watching local TV programmes and singing along to Liang Wern Fook's songs. The 15-metre long hopscotch features fun and child-like illustrations of both his poetic lyrics and his literary works. Like how a simple game such as the hopscotch is familiar and accessible to all. Liang's words are approachable, nostalgic and touching to many. The Musical Illusion hopes to put a smile on the faces of passers-by and rekindle their love for local music and Chinese literature. It's a privilege to invite the renowned, Liang Wern Fook, to lend us his beautiful works for The Musical Illusion illustrated hopscotch. Find works of "Your Friends are Your Joy and Sadness", "The Name of Love" , "The 21 Dreams of Liang Wern Fook: In Search of a Little Cat's Smile" and "Days past" Creative direction, art direction and illustration by Ada Leow, Yiting Ong and PIGOLOGIST.
